Team of teachers


arianne-elbaumwas born and raised in New York City. She earned her BA in Anthropology and Jewish Studies from Wellesley College in 2008 and her MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University in 2011. She also earned a TEFL certificate from TEFL Worldwide Prague in 2009 and worked as an English teacher in a preschool in Prague for one year. An anthropologist at heart, Arianne loves traveling, reading, writing, and learning as much as possible about the cultures around her. A 7 year vegan, she also loves baking and experimenting with vegetarian cuisine. As an English teacher, her biggest goal is to have fun with children while helping them love and take care of the environment and planet we live in.


AubreyAubrey is from Houston, Texas. She has two bachelor degrees in Public Policy and International Studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. As well, she has Young Learners Teacher and TEFL certifications from The Language House in Prague. She has lived in Prague since September 2016. Her interest in teaching began during university. She worked as an after-school daycare teacher and teacher assistant in Dallas for two years and volunteered at Reading Partners for three years. Reading Partners is a non-profit organization that helps low-income ESL (english as a second language) students in elementary school learn how to read in english. During her free time, she practices Bikram yoga, travel, and try new restaurants or pubs. She loves taking walks in Prague’s many parks and going to the many festivals Czech Republic has.



gregor-aitkenGregor comes from Glasgow in Scotland and is the youngest of 4 brothers. After spending around 10 years working in London he decided to spend some time travelling. He spent nearly 2 years living in Holland, and having also visited many countries beyond, he found himself in czech.

He has lived here for nearly 2 years, and after spending some time teaching adults , decided to teach children.Gregor have also here in the Czech Republic as an English teacher at summer camp which served children ages 3-15. He likes football, economincs and plays Ukulele.


michaela-pokornaMichaela was born in Kroměříž in 1972. She studied a High School and then the medical school, specialization midwife. During the studies she was interested in psychology of children who comes from disrupted families and she has written 2 essays. Michaela worked as a midwife for 3 years and during this time she studied tourism in Brno and then she left abroad. Michaela studied in Germany and worked with the children at the age of 3 – 10 years old. Afterwards she travelled to Australia. Michaela studied English in Sydney and worked in a private Preschool. Michaela has a lot of experience and books which are using in the Preschool Sunny Garden. When she returned from Australia, she worked in Spain in turism and she organized the trips for children. Michaela was visiting the private Preschool in Spain and was looking for more ideas. Michaela and her husband decided to establish an English Preschool Sunny Garden and used the international experiences. Michaela is a manager of our team, she speaks 5 languages and mumms of 3 sons.


All of our teachers hold teaching diplomas and have experience teaching in international schools all over the world.
